We recently posted comments about the curious decision of the New Orleans district of the Corps of Engineers to put the responsibility for managing the overdue and much-anticipated LaCPR study on the shoulders of the same project manager of a five year critical river study that bombed in 2000 (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. 2000. Mississippi River sediment, nutrient, and freshwater redistribution study.  Draft report and environmental resources document. 263 pp.)

Now that decision may be coming back to bite the corps on its broad collective behind.

In my 35 years in Louisiana I have never seen as much criticism of the corps on the part of officials and the media, including a New Orleans radio interview show on WWL-AM the day after Christmas hosted by Garland Robinette in which he interviewed Sandy Rosenthal. Unfortunately, I could not find an archived podcast for this particular show.
